Remove tie rod, nuts and washers. 2. Remove head and cap from cylinder. 3. Discard old seals and clean all parts, including inside tube andgrooves in head and cap. 4. When installing PTFE continuous ring type seals for 1 ½” through 6” Bore, avoid stretching seals. 5. When installing PTFE non-continuous ring type seal for 7” Bore and up, insert seal carefully to avoid stretching. (See Fig. 1 and Fig. 2) 5. Assemble cylinder and tighten tie rod nuts hand tight. 6. Torque tie rod nuts in order shown in Fig. 3 (using chart below for Torque specifications). FIG. 1 Be sure to butt ends of seal together as you begin to seat seal in groove.
